1️⃣ الموجات الصوتية للعين

التشخيص المبكر للأمراض الخلقية في الأطفال مثل
( المياه البيضاء والزرقاء وامراض الشبكية والعصب البصري )
وتساعد في تشخيص حالات عدم اكتمال الشبكية للأطفال المبتسرين أو الذين حصلوا على جرعات ( أكسجين ) كبيرة في الحضانة مما يساعد على سرعة التدخل وإنقاذ عين الطفل
كما تساعد في تحديد مدى خطورة الوضع في حالات إصابات العيون المتعددة أو دخول جسم غريب في العين .

2️⃣ رسم الشبكية والعصب البصري الكهربي ( VEP / ERG )

وتستخدم في العديد من الحالات منها على سبيل المثال
* نقص الأكسجين أثناء الولادة
* إصابات رأس الطفل
* ضمور المخ
* أمراض الشبكية الوراثية
* ضعف النظر الشديد
* عتامات القرنية
* العشى الليلي أو الإلتهاب الشبكي التلوني
