تعتبر مشكلة حول العين من المشاكل التى تسبب تأثيرات سلبية على نفسية

يوضح الدكتور عصام حسن أن الحول الذى يصاب

به الشخص فى سن مبكرة قد لا يسبب ازدواجية فى الرؤية

كما يعتقد البعض ولكنه من الممكن أن يؤدى إلى

حدوث كسل وظيفى فى العين حيث يعتمد المخ على الرؤية التى تأتى من العين الأقوى .

ويضيف أنه يمكن علاج الحول الذى يحدث فى هذا السن

من خلال استخدام نظارة طبية أو عدسات لاصقة

أو اجراء عملية الليزك لو كان سبب الحول هو وجود ضعف

فى النظر ففى هذه الحالة يكون الليزك فعال

ومن خلاله نتمكن من علاج ضعف النظر والحول الاثنين معاً

كما يمكن علاج الحول من خلال إجراء عملية تعيد تشكيل عضلات العين بحيث تجعل الرؤية فى العينين متوازية .

ويشير الدكتور عصام حسن استشارى جراحات العيون والليزك

إلى أن الشخص البالغ الذى تكونت عنده الرؤية

وحدث له الحول لاحقا نتاج لحدوث مشكلة بالعين كإصابة العصب البصرى على سبيل المثال

ففى هذه الحالة يتم نقل صورتين مختلفتين إلى المخ

فيحدث إزدواجية فى الرؤية

والعلاج فى هذه الحالة يعتمد على غلق العين الأضعف بغطاء العين المعقم

حتى لا يحدث تشويش للشخص المصاب

إلى أن يتم علاج السبب الذى أدى للحول كحدوث ارتفاع فى الضغط أوالسكر

أو حدوث نزيف فى المخ أو جلطات أو ارتفاع فى ضغط المخ أو غيرها

ومن ثم يتم وصف منشطات للعصب وفى غالبية الأشخاص فى خلال من 3 – 6 شهور يحدث تحسن .
